Episode 10 - Christmas Special

As it is that time of the year, we are in a festive mood and do our christmas special. Hopefully, we will never have to do another of these specials again.......so difficult to talk about these films, as you will be able to tell from listening to this episode. Enjoy the show and have a merry christmas and a happy new year. See you all in 2007.

Episode 5 - Comedy.... And More!!

Yes, a terrible title but an amazing episode of CINaddiction. This one is a hoot, a few beverages were consumed that evening but that in no way affected our performance as podcaster. No siree!!

Moving back to the episode, Borat is reviewed and we swiftly move onto the genre of comedy. We discuss our favourite comedy films and what makes us laugh. All whilst consuming more beverages. Sweet. Enjoy!!

Halloween Film List

This is The Media Mentalist's recommended Halloween watch for you all........

1) The Thing

Carpenter's peak in his career, getting great performances from Ernest Borgnine and Kurt Russell. Basically, group of scientists in an isolated research station in Arctic get struck by a monster which imitates other lifeforms, including humans. Who is infected and who will survive. This definitely is worth a watch. Here is the infamous blood test scene.

2) The Monster Squad

Hard to find but definitely worth it if you like your horror, Goonies style. Written by Shane Black of Lethal Weapon fame.

3) Evil Dead 1/2

The Evil Dead films are a must for people who want a good Halloween film. Story revolves around a group of people who go to a cabin in the woods and accidently unleash an evil spirit that kills them. The 1st film is for people who want to be scared, whilst the sequel has its fair share of jump moments, it is more of a horror comedy. Here is a scene where one of characters chops up his girlfriend who has become possessed.

And if you want to play some video games, Silent Hill 2 and Resident Evil 4 are the best to scare the hell out of you.

SH2

Resi 4

John Landis, John Carpenter & David Cronenberg

This is something I would normally post on The Media Mentalist but seeing as we just our Halloween special, this is an interesting discussion with great horror directors (even the host Mick Garris is the creator of the new Masters Of Horror series). I thought people may like to have a look. It is well worth your time.

Peckham Multiplex

Anyone in London, you should know Peckham, right? Love going there daily, right? What's that? You don't like going there? You fear for your life? You're spouting nonsense!!! Ok, you do have some sense, but only a bit. Have you not been to the P-Plex? The best high street cinema in London. Monday's £2.99 all day. How good is that?!? It's amazing.

Yes, big plug for the P-Plex, we love it, nothing better than a horror film where the women scream at the screen going "stoopid bitch, she shud know better, dumb white gurl". It's brilliant. Anyways, you can check out the P-Plex here.

Part Deux Of CINaddiction

If you thought an episode couldn't get any more ramshackle than our pilot, well brace yourselves. Part Deux is a review frenzy as Hoodwinked, Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning and The Departed are all given the addiction treatment and our dvd of the moment and film to avoid are also included. All of this and many arguments and tangents making up Part Deux. Enjoy. Peace Out from The Mentalist and Moongags.

Due to the last site messing up, I am going to repost all the previous episodes before getting onto the new stuff.

    New Site

Hello people who may have frequented my previous CINaddiction page. They got messed up, beyond my powers.....hence, new site. Same good ol' entertainment from The Mentalist and Moongags, though. To make up for making you change site, here is a creepy teaser pic from the upcoming Guillermo Del Toro film, Pan's Labyrinth. Peace.
